Window Tinting FAQ — Questions Answered

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before you book — and after your install.

How long does tint installation take?

Most full vehicle installs take 2–4 hours. Front two windows or windshield-only jobs are typically done in under 90 minutes.

What shade options are available?

We install shades from 5% (limo) up to 70% clear ceramic. North Carolina has legal VLT limits per window — we'll walk you through what's compliant for your vehicle.

How long before I can roll my windows down?

We recommend keeping windows up for 3–5 days after install to allow the film to fully cure. Cure time is longer in colder months.

Does tint block heat?

Yes. Standard films reduce heat, but our nano-ceramic films reject up to 96% of infrared heat for a dramatic cabin cooling effect.

Does ceramic tint fade?

No — quality ceramic film is fade-resistant and non-metallic, meaning it won't turn purple or interfere with signals like older films.

Is there a warranty?

Every W Tints install comes with a lifetime warranty covering bubbling, peeling, cracking, adhesive failure, and color change.

Can you tint just the windshield?

Absolutely. Ceramic windshield film is one of the most impactful upgrades for heat rejection and UV protection.

Do you tint trucks and SUVs?

Yes — we tint everything from compact sedans to full-size trucks and lifted SUVs. Every install is custom-cut for a factory-clean fit.
